PreschoolPlus & KindergartenPlus Childcare with a Preschool/Kindergarten Difference! As two-career parents, we've always struggled to find both good full-day childcare and a great education for our sons. We wanted an affordable program that provided both thoughtful loving care, while at the same time providing personalized, high-quality pre-school and kindergarten experiences.
With these experiences fresh in our minds, we developed PreschoolPlus & KindergartenPlus, a warm and caring 12-month child-care environment for your child, along with well-designed, high-quality pre-school and kindergarten programs, as well as multi-themed Summer Camp adventures.
The PreschoolPlus day is organized as follows:
7:00 - 8:45: Your child will be greeted by his/her morning teacher and given the opportunity to play in the classroom. 8:45 - 9:00: Your child will go to his/her pre-school or kindergarten classroom to get ready for class. 9:00 - 11:30: A regular morning pre-school or kindergarten routine will be followed according to your child's age. 11:30 - 12:30: This is our lunch/recreation period. 12:30 - 2:30: For children 4 and under, this is rest period. Children who do not nap will be given quiet activities during this time. Kindergarten children, they will join our PM enrichment program. 2:30 - 3:00: Play period either outside on our playground, or upstairs in the multi-purpose room. 3:00 - 3:30: Late afternoon program begins. We begin with circle time and a chance for everyone to talk about their day. We also introduce the theme for the afternoon. 3:30 - 4:30: Afternoon activity. These are fun projects for the children, such as nature walks, arts and crafts, musical games and cooking. 4:30 - 5:30: Depending upon age, another opportunity to play outside or inside. 5:30 - 6:30: Quiet time in centers, which include housekeeping, building, story reading and computer time.
In addition to our extended hours, PreschoolPlus children also enjoy our special camp week programs, both during the weeks that traditional preschools close--such as President's week and Spring Break week-- and during the summer as part of our multi-themed Summer Camp program . Children enrolled in our preschool-only programs are invited to attend these weeks, including any of our Summer Camp sessions, at an additional fee.
Also, in order to provide career parents with some of the options enjoyed by stay-at-home parents, we occasionally invite sports camps and dance schools to provide their programs in our building, so that parents can sign their children up for these activities without having to be concerned about transportation.
